Pet Bereavement Counselling

I began my professional career in a very different industry, working with animals in a Veterinary Clinic. I found that when an emergency occurred or during the end of life process I was drawn to providing support to the families. I realised that his is where my interest lie; providing a space for families to grieve the loss of their beloved Pet. With sadness, I left my job at the clinic to study Psychology and Counselling.

The unexpected loss of my 3 year old cat, Artemis reaffirmed my belief of how important it is to recognize how deeply we grieve the loss of our pets. I am passionate about working with families experiencing the loss of their beloved family member. I believe that our pets are there for us no matter what happens. I know that the grief we feel when they pass is real. As pet owners we are left with a huge gap that can be impossible to fill.

I believe that when we find meaning from our losses we begin to heal and move ahead with our life without our pet, always remembering the mark they have left on our lives.
